Recipe can be halved
2 cups butter

2 cups sugar

4 cups flour
4 cups blended oatmeal*
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking soda
24 oz chocolate chips
1 8 oz chocolate bar (chopped)
2 cups chopped nuts (optional)

2 tsp baking powder
|
||
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
|
Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla;
mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add
chocolate chips, chocolate bar and nuts. Roll into balls** and place two inches
apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes
approximately 100 cookies.
* measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder
** wet hands with water or cooking oil to make dough
balls smooth
Helpful hint: Mix the dry ingredients first (i.e.
flour, sugar) then add the eggs, butter and vanilla extract
